Zachary N. Scalzo graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of San Francisco, where he majored in politics and minored in legal studies. He received his law degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he graduated Order of the Coif and was a member of the Traynor’s Honor Society. While in law school, Zachary was a member of McGeorge Moot Court Honors Board and was the recipient of various awards for his writing, including best brief for McGeorge’s Global Lawyering Skills Appellate Advocacy Competition, and the Witkin Award for the highest grade in his first-year legal writing class. During law school, he was a judicial extern for the Honorable Justice Ronald B. Robie of the California Court of Appeal, Third District, where he drafted opinions for the justice.
After graduating from McGeorge, Zachary worked briefly for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Edmund Brennan, of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California where he assisted the judge and his staff in drafting memoranda on issues pending before the court. Prior to joining the firm, he practiced in real property litigation.
