Nancy Taylor has represented public entities and school districts in the areas of real property, business and construction matters for over nine years. Her practice focuses on advising clients on matters relating to property acquisition and disposition, leases, exchanges, joint use and joint occupancy, compliance with statutory and regulatory procedures and other related land use matters. She handles matters involving acquisition of property under California Eminent Domain law, including site selection, appraisal and title review, acquisition negotiations, relocation assistance, statutory notices and governing board resolutions and findings. Nancy regularly advises clients on conflicts of interest laws, Brown Act and Public Records Act issues, as well as assists clients with various construction and facilities matters including bid protests, stop payment notices, construction defect and delay claims and energy conservation services agreements.
Prior to joining the firm, Nancy worked with the California Judicial Council, Capital Program, the office responsible for the planning, design, construction and management of the facilities for the Superior and Appellate Courts of California.
