Eric Byrne is an experienced litigator with extensive experience in labor and employment law, securities regulation and compliance, public entity law and transactional matters. Eric’s current litigation practice in State and Federal Courts encompass complex real estate matters, civil rights cases and business disputes. Eric’s background both within and apart from the legal field endows him with a unique perspective that lends itself to creative problem solving.
Prior to practicing law Eric taught English at a university in Ecuador, worked as a Senior Examiner of registered broker-dealers with FINRA, and arbitrated labor disputes between shipping companies and members of the ILWU with the Pacific Maritime Association.
Originally hailing from Toronto, Canada, Eric completed his undergraduate studies at Boston University, where he earned a B.A. in International Relations with a minor in Philosophy and a B.Sc. in Mass Communications. Eric earned his J.D. and an M.A. in International Economics from American University in Washington, D.C. While in law school, Eric assisted low-income client with tax matters while a student attorney with the Janet R. Spragens Federal Income Tax Clinic.
